Apply Now for the AfroSports Writing Contest 2023

The AfroSports Writing Contest for 2023 is now accepting applications. An annual competition called AfroSports aims to increase the amount of knowledge about African sports, games, and leisure pursuits that is available on the various Wikimedia Projects.

By authoring articles about the historical and modern African sports scene with an emphasis on the English Wikipedia and six African languages, this challenge seeks to fill the content vacuum on Wikipedia (Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Dagbani, Swahili and Kinyarwanda.) The AfroSports competition will take place between February 15 and March 30, 2023.
