Join the She’s the First Girls Advisory Council
Are you a passionate supporter of girls’ rights? Do you believe in the power of universal education? If you’re interested in altering established gender norms and want to make a difference, we encourage you to join our Girls Advisory Council.
The Girls Advisory Council is a one-of-a-kind virtual platform where girls aged 14 to 22 from around the world cooperate to guarantee that girls’ voices are at the forefront of She’s the First programs. Members of the Council collaborate closely with STF staff, board members, and students to provide unique insights into STF programs and to develop innovative methods to expand our reach and influence.
What You’ll Do at the She’s the First Girls Advisory Council:
- Collaborate with a diverse group of girls representing the communities we serve.
- Work closely with STF staff, board members, and students.
- Act as ambassadors during your tenure, participating in campaigns, advocacy efforts, online events, and engagement.
- Two members will serve as liaisons between the Board of Directors and the Girls Advisory Council.
Who Can Apply She’s the First Girls Advisory Council:
- Identifies as a girl, including those with gender-nonconforming, genderfluid, and transfeminine experiences, aged 14-22.
- Comfortable with English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Passionate about She’s the First, girls’ rights, or social justice.
She’s the First Girls Advisory Council Commitment:
- 1-3 hours per month from December 2023 to December 2024.
- Participation in monthly Council meetings and virtual STF events.
- Sharing STF initiatives with your online community.
- Providing input and suggestions in the WhatsApp group.
She’s the First Girls Advisory Council Benefits:
