Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2023/2024 at Carnegie Mellon University Africa

CMU-Africa launched the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in 2016. The program offers students who have more potential and promise than they do financial resources considerable financial, social, and academic support. The curriculum is focused on creating transformative leaders and encouraging students to be active community members with the belief that education is a catalyst for social and economic change.

The Mastercard Foundation and CMU-Africa have teamed up to support students whose promise and aptitude outweigh their financial capabilities. Graduate students get their Master of Science degrees in engineering artificial intelligence, electrical and computer engineering, or information technology. The Scholars continue to make a difference in their communities once the program is over and help bring about significant change across the continent.
