Aliko Dangote, the largest entrepreneur in Africa, is certain that the recent investment of several billion naira in the sugar industry will contribute to the creation of at least 300,000 employment in Nigeria.
Aliko Dangote, the group’s president, was quoted as adding that the business was supplying new cash and so increasing its operations in the sugar sub-sector.
The prospects would include both direct and indirect jobs, according to Dangote, who was speaking at the flag-off ceremony for the 2022–2023 Crushing Season and Outgrower Scheme Awards in Numan, Adamawa State.
The most generous person in Africa, Dangote, expressed hope that the significant investment will give Nigerians over 300,000 new jobs. He declared: “Through the increase of DSR Numan’s sugar refining capacity from 3000tcd to 6000tcd, 9800tcd, and to 15,000tcd, we are making enormous investments in Adamawa State. DSR will be able to generate roughly 300,000 jobs nationwide, both directly and indirectly, with favorable multiplier effects.
The Dangote Group is the biggest employer of labour in Nigeria outside the government.
