Mycarebuddy, in partnership with American Corner, Lagos, Nigeria hosted a program to commemorate the world’s International Youth Day

Tagged BUILDING MENTAL RESILIENCE; THE MULTI-EXCELLING YOUTH.

The event brought together a line-up of well-versed guests speakers professional in their industry. From law to branding, to mental health; every session was value packed. We also had the privilege of hearing an emotional story of overcoming substance abuse.

Participants, at the end of the event, were educated, empowered, equipped ok how to live resilient lives in the face of challenges and setbacks. They were also implored to be intentional about safeguarding their mental health using available resources and self-care tools.

Who Is Behind Mycarebuddy?

EBERE OKONKWO, is the Founder and CEO, of Mycarebuddy; she is a passionate mental health advocate and consultant with over four (4) years in project management, business development, entrepreneurship, and active mental health advocacy. She is the Founder and CEO of Mycarebuddy, which is a mental health-tech startup that provides an easily accessible online platform for mental health care and consultation to individuals by connecting them with mental health consultants.

Ebere, alongside her team at Mycarebuddy, has successfully educated over 7000 individuals about the importance of mental health, and provided actual mental health consultations to over 5000 of them, in Nigeria and some other African countries like Zambia, Ghana, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, etc, and few persons in the UK.

Ebere who holds a B.Sc in Political Science from the University of Nigeria is a Mandela Washington fellow, and a One Young World Ambassador with a Certificate of Recognition from Queens University, Canada for her innovative mental health solution during the Covid-19 outbreak. She also holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Standard Chartered Bank Women in Tech Initiative program facilitated by Enterprise Development Center in partnership with Pan-Atlantic University, and an Executive MBA in Leadership in Business from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, USA.

Ebere, who was listed as top hundred entrepreneur in Africa is a public speaker and vocal mental health advocate who has been featured in local and international media platforms like Voice of America, TVC, Wavesplus TV, Dream FM including several mental health related podcasts.
