Call for Applications: UNESCO-APCEIU 9th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED 2023
The UNESCO-APCEIU 9th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED 2023 is now accepting applications. Since 2015, the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) has been focusing on youth empowerment through global citizenship education.
Every year, the Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED (Global Citizenship Education) is organized, bringing together 50 young leaders from around the world to discuss, share, exchange, network, and learn. The Workshop, which serves as a place for mutual growth and partnership, has trained over 400 young changemakers from around the world.
In 2023, APCEIU holds its 9th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED under the theme of “Global citizenship and youth empowerment for inclusive futures for all”. The Workshop will invite the active global citizens who aspire to work together to build a more inclusive society for all by combating the inequality through innovation, commitment, solidarity, and common vision and hope for a better future.

- 18 April (Tue): Workshop Orientation
- 19 – 22 April: (Self-paced & small group discussion) Pre-Workshop Study
- 24 – 28 April: Online LIVE Workshop on “Global citizenship and youth empowerment for inclusive futures for all”

UNESCO Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Born between 1995 and 2004.
- Citizens of the Official Development Aid (ODA) recipient countries.
- Minimum 2 years of active experience in youth activities.
- Completion of the e-learning course titled “GCED for Youth” on GCED Online Campus before the application deadline. Course Certificate must be attached in the application.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
UNESCO Application
Application must be submitted by April 9, 2023. Notification of selection will be sent by April 14, 2023 by email. All selected participants must register by April 16, 2023.
