The Africa Young Innovators for Health Award 2023 is the flagship program of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) and Speak Up Africa, aimed at providing young health entrepreneurs throughout Africa with the resources they need to advance promising healthcare solutions for the betterment of their communities.
The first edition of the Award, which was launched in 2021, focused on solutions that supported, equipped, protected, and trained healthcare personnel who worked hard to protect and treat the public during the COVID-19 epidemic.
We hope to uncover and develop health innovations that will help us move closer to the objective of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the second edition of the Award.UHC means that everyone has access to the healthcare services they require, at a reasonable cost, without fear of financial hardship (WHO 2007).
