This Oprah Winfrey Leadership Scholarship is for underprivileged South African females. In addition, Oprah Winfrey launched the academy to give educational and leadership opportunities for academically brilliant girls from underprivileged homes.

Scholarship applications for 2024 are now available and will be accepted by AFRICAN PEOPLE INTELLIGENCE, the firm chosen by the school to provide student recruitment services.

Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Eligibility Requirements

To apply for this scholarship, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

• They have achieved 70% and above for both Maths and English in their 2022 final report
• They are currently in Grade 7 going into Grade 8, or Grade 8 going into Grade 9 in 2024
• Their combined household income does not exceed R10, 000
