Call for Proposals: Restless Development for Youth Researchers |€2,500 grant

Young researchers are welcome to submit proposals. As part of the Porticus Learning Partnership, Restless Development and Democracy Moves were each given a grant of 7,500 euros. The funding is intended to encourage youth-led action research in the fields of civic engagement and democratic governance. Three small-scale subgrants of 2,500 euros each will be given out over the following 18 months, with two grants going to implementation in Year 1 and one in Year 2.

The youth researcher will be essential to doing action research and producing youth-led insights on a particular issue pertaining to democratic government or civic participation. The goal of the research should be to produce novel insights and suggestions that may be applied to advocacy and change-making in order to pave the way for more just, long-lasting, and democratic futures. The researcher will also assist in the creation of insights for partners and donors on how to best support youth-led research and promote change.
